Systems Team Lead – Down Under Tours
Salary : $80,000 - $90,000 + Super

Join the Down Under Tours Team as a Systems Team Lead
Down Under Tours is seeking a Systems Team Lead to oversee and elevate the performance of our custom-built booking system, TREMS (Tourism Resource Management Solutions), and drive impactful system enhancements.
This role offers the chance to lead a small, collaborative team and make a tangible difference in the efficiency of our operations.
About the Role :
As our Systems Team Lead, you'll provide strategic direction for the TREMS system while managing day-to-day support, development, and administration.
Working closely with stakeholders, you'll ensure our systems align with business needs, resolve technical issues, and spearhead development projects that enhance our operational capabilities.
Key Responsibilities :
Systems Support : Oversee all TREMS support requests, ensuring timely logging, updates, and resolution.
Act as an escalation point for critical incidents, coordinating with management and the development team to resolve issues effectively.
Conduct root cause analysis of recurring problems and collaborate on system improvements.
Resolve business queries and execute system updates using SQL.
Systems Development : Prioritize and document TREMS development requests, communicating these with the development team.
Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and scope systems-based process improvements.
Manage our 3rd-party Agency API program, collaborating with business stakeholders to define priorities, allocating resources to enhance and certify API connections, and identifying process improvements to maximize connectivity benefits and operational efficiency.
Communicate delivery schedules to stakeholders and collaborate with teams to ensure the impact of planned system changes on business processes are understood.
Coordinate user acceptance testing for new system developments.
Systems Administration : Ensure TREMS system administration functions are efficiently managed and thoroughly documented, including: Uploading and amending rates.
Managing user accounts and maintaining up-to-date user manuals.
Setting up and maintaining products, including new product builds, updates, availability, agent and supplier onboarding, and promotions.
Developing SQL stored procedures and extracting specific data as needed.
Your Team :
You'll lead a team of two direct reports: a Full Stack Developer and a Data Maintenance & System Support Specialist, fostering a collaborative environment in a supportive office setting.

Required Skills and Experience :
Relevant tertiary qualifications or equivalent professional experience.
Proficiency in SQL and database administration.
Exposure to travel and tourism industries is highly desirable.
Strong knowledge of IT systems and proficiency in MS Office tools.
