YMCA Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides fun, stimulating and safe care for primary and secondary school children before and after school.
At OSHC, children have the opportunity to participate in cooking, sport, music, art, dance and so much more.The Y Queensland's childcare services have been at the heart of Australian communities for more than 40 years, with our first early learning service opening in Brisbane in 1977 after we identified the need for childcare that focused on helping children grow in body, mind and spirit.We are currently recruiting for OSHC Educators on a casual basis to join our YMCA Kedron Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) Service.About the serviceYMCA Kedron Outside School Hours Care (OSHC) provides a safe and nurturing environment which gives children the opportunity to learn and play.
We are located in the heart of Kedron State School and pride ourselves on being a part of this thriving community.YMCA Kedron OSHC offers Before School Care (6:30am to 8:30am), After School Care (3pm to 6pm) and Vacation Care (6:30am to 6pm) every weekday, except public holidays.
We are licensed for 126 children.
Our menus contain a range of nutritious food catered to the taste and allergy requirements of our children.Our service runs programs and activities aligned with the YMCA mission, to provide opportunities for all people to grow in body, mind and spirit.
This includes a wide range of fun, stimulating and appropriate programs that reflect real-world experiences and home settings.About the roleAs an OSHC Educator, you are responsible for the care of children before school, after school, and during school holiday periods.
You'll assist in running fascinating, fun-filled, and educational activities with primary school children, such as science experiments, outdoor games, painting, and musical activities.What will my time look like?Hold a rewarding, challenging, and interesting position.Be able to allocate your availability to suit study or family needs.Have the opportunity for career advancement.Join a team of dedicated staff and fantastic children and families.Be provided with regular professional development and training.Our children and Educators bring our inclusive space to life, ensuring our program is engaging with a range of planned and spontaneous play experiences.Am I a good match?You are currently studying or completed a Certificate, Diploma, or Bachelor degree in the field of children's services or similar.You have a fantastic sense of fun and a tremendous imagination.You hold or be willing to obtain a current First Aid and CPR certification.You hold a Positive Notice Blue Card or be willing to obtain one.What's in it for you?Achieving our community support and inspiring young people motivates and thrives us to work hard and be the best at what we do.
