Based in Melbourne's inner-city suburbs, this privately-owned engineering consultancy is renowned for its inclusive culture, progressive values, and commitment to environmental sustainability.
With over 20 years of experience, they approach every project with creativity and innovation, delivering practical design solutions for medium- to large-scale multi-storey commercial, institutional, and residential buildings.
Their reputation as technical experts sets them apart in the industry.
Due to growth in the business, they are now looking for an additional Structural Engineer at a Senior level.
Your responsibilities will include: Developing detailed designs and specifications for structures.
Collaborating with architects, contractors, and other professionals to ensure that designs are feasible and practical and meet project requirements and budget constraints.
Overseeing the construction process to ensure that designs are implemented correctly and that structures are built to specifications and standards.
Conducting regular site visits and inspections to monitor progress, identify and address any issues, and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and codes.
Mentoring teams of junior engineers and drafters, providing guidance and support as needed, and delegating tasks and responsibilities.
As the ideal candidate for this role, you will have: Circa 5 years + experience as a structural engineer in a consulting environment.
A comprehensive knowledge of local building codes and standards.
Extensive experience in the design and analysis of steel, PT, and reinforced concrete.
Experience with mid- to large-scale commercial, institutional, and industrial projects.
Prior experience coordinating a team of engineers and drafters.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Experience liaising with project stakeholders.
