Company Description 60.8 to 76 hours per fortnight (flexible) position from 16 Dec 2024 to 2 April 2025 (leave coverage) Based at headspace Knox Salary dependent on quals and experience + Super + Salary Packaging benefits of up to $18,550 Job Description The Intake and Brief Intervention Team Leader at headspace Knox plays a key leadership role, overseeing and supervising the Intake & Brief Intervention Team, as well as other teams within the service.
This senior position provides direct clinical services to clients (ages 12-25) and their families, including intake assessments, allocations, and therapeutic interventions.
The role also involves supporting the student placement program by providing operational supervision to students.
Qualifications Qualification and/or extensive experience in a Mental Health Profession: Social Work, Occupational Therapy, Psychology, Mental Health Nursing, Counselling, or Youth Work, and current registration with the relevant professional body Demonstrated leadership experience, with the ability to manage a team to achieve positive client outcomes, and provision of clinical supervision to staff Significant clinical background with experience in assessing young people's needs, risk, and early identification of emerging mental health issues including intervention options for young people experiencing mental illness Clinical experience working with young people aged 12-25 years with mental illness, and their families Well-developed knowledge of young people's developmental stages, youth mental health problems, drug and alcohol issues and issues currently facing young people that affect their wellbeing Demonstrated experience in the delivery of evidence-based treatments for young people and their families High level of interpersonal, communication and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to consult, liaise and negotiate effectively with young people, family, friends and professionals.
Ability to function in a multi-disciplinary team • Highly developed organisational skills with the ability to problem solve and prioritise effectively on a day-to-day basis Awareness of relevant legislation/policies and issues informing health and other services for young people and families A current working with children check and national Police Check (completed within the last 12 months).
