This is a fixed term, full time vacancy available for 5 years, with the possibility of extension.

About the role The Executive Director, Performance Assurance and Risk reports to the Deputy Director General, People Culture and Standards Division and directly to the Director General on audit matters.
The Executive Director is responsible for leadership of strategic enterprise risk management, and the assurance and compliance functions that enable optimal performance by the Department.
The position works collaboratively with various external statutory bodies to foster an environment which encourages innovation, service focus, partnerships and problem solving.
About You The successful candidate is a progressive leader who is highly motivated, energetic and possesses the qualities needed to bring people together and inspire confidence.
You must also possess:
Strong experience in overseeing corporate audit, risk management and business improvement agenda.
Extensive knowledge and experience of the public sector regulatory environment and accountability systems.
Demonstrated knowledge of Australian and International Standards, legislation and best practice.
