Located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales, it's the largest producer of energy coal in the region, operating alongside olive growers, wine makers, horse breeders and the nearby residential community of Muswellbrook.Our greatest asset is and has always been our people and communities, which is why we are committed to working together on our Pathway to 2030 - a program to responsibly close Mt Arthur Coal.
We are about doing the right thing and working with everyone to co-create a shared vision for the future of the region.About the RoleWe are currently seeking a Maintenance Manager to join our team at Mt Arthur Coal Mine, which has an exceptional culture where success is celebrated, and work/life balance is valued.Reporting to the General Manager, you will lead the Maintenance Department to ensure the planning and safe execution of maintenance activities (including shutdowns) to optimize mobile plant availability and reliability.
As an effective leader, you will be charged to develop and build the capability of the team.
You will lead the team to operate in a climate of continuous improvement, being accountable and ensuring that all work is aligned with business critical success factors.In this role, you will cultivate strong relationships through effective communication and consultation, positively influencing the Mobile Plant Maintenance function and shape the culture to ensure a safe, productive, quality, sustainable and disciplined approach to work.The role on offer is a Monday-Friday residential position.In This Role You WillWith an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development:Ensuring a safe system of work to protect the health and safety of people and the environment in accordance with Statutory BHP requirements.Ensuring an engaged culture, inclusive and diverse culture, where everyone is motivated to realise their full potential.Managing performance targets and plans aligned to the Corporate Alignment Planning (CAP) processes.Lead and mentor a dedicated and high performing team, supporting and enabling them to deliver clear and measurable Key Performance Indicators.Build cohesive relationships with BHP functional teams to deliver common Key Performance Indicators.About YouWorking with a dynamic team dedicated to continuous improvement, your diversity of thought and practical experience will be embraced.
