Postdoctoral Research Fellow: Telecommunications ResilienceUTS is in the process of establishing a new initiative called the National Telecom Resilience Centre (NTRC).
The NTRC will address critical gaps in Australia's telecommunications resilience, focusing on the Triple Zero emergency call system and broader network functionality during outages.About the roleWe are seeking a Postdoctoral Research Fellow with strong expertise in telecommunications and telecommunications resilience.
You will contribute to cutting-edge research on telecommunications resilience, with a focus on mobile communications, emergency services, and the development of industry standards.
This role is a crucial part of the National Telecom Resilience Centre (NTRC).You will engage in applied research, focusing on emergency call system testing, multi-operator network behaviours, and novel protocols to improve network resilience.
You will actively participate in industry standardisation efforts, publish research findings in high-impact journals, and contribute to the development of technologies affecting the mobile industry.You will also support the implementation of research outcomes to inform government policy and develop new testing protocols that address challenges in the evolving telecommunications ecosystem.
