You work with a team of claims specialists who provide best practice strategic claims management tailored to the public sector.What you doEffectively manage your own portfolio of claims and interpret and apply policy coverage across various products.Assess and quantify claims costs, negotiate settlement outcomes, and identify recovery prospects.Build effective relationships with key legal advisors and/or insurance providers.Work in partnership with appointed legal service providers to manage liabilities and resolve claims.Raise reserves and settle claims within your delegated authority.Participate in mediations and lead settlement discussions.Contribute to the innovation and development of products and claims response.How you workOperate within performance and behavioral expectations.Demonstrate positive and constructive behavior across teams.Contribute to team success and support valuable solutions.Participate in educational opportunities and promote an innovative culture.Who you work withWork with the Claims Liability Lead, Liability Claims Portfolio Manager, and claims peers to develop new and existing claims services.Experience you draw fromProven experience in liability claims management.Solid track record of successful claims administration and high-quality client service.Demonstrated analytical skills and insurance industry acumen.Resilience and ability to manage claims under pressure.Understanding of public sector management complexities.Qualifications you holdTertiary qualification in Law, Insurance, Business, Commerce or Finance.Professional membership with a relevant organization is a plus.How to applyPlease submit your resume and cover letter to introduce yourself and demonstrate your suitability for the role.
