Transfer Station Manager – Expression of InterestCitywide is inviting expressions of interest for a Transfer Station Manager opportunity at our Dynon Road facility.In this role, you will be managing the day-to-day operations of the transfer station through leadership, supervision, and strategic influence.Primary responsibilities include but are not limited to:Deliver objectives in line with the business plan including analysis and reporting on contract performance and outcomes.Lead the team to ensure efficient and effective service is provided.Accountable for ensuring all assets are maintained and utilized in accordance with policy.Proactively address potential and actual issues and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.Accountable for the oversight of Time & Attendance.Participate in the development of annual business strategy.Accountable for ensuring that costs and revenue are managed in accordance with the budget.Accountable for the safe operation of the facility and deliver safety initiatives.Review incidents/near misses in accordance with safety procedures.Responsible for ensuring toolbox meetings are held.Proactively build and maintain a positive industrial relations culture.Other duties within the scope of the role.Skills and qualifications required:Previous experience in a similar role.Experience in preparing operating plans and budgets.Proven track record in managing operating plans within assigned budgets.Proven track record of delivering results through leadership.Ability to build relationships with clients/customers and provide exceptional customer service.Extensive experience in leading and developing a team.Understanding the principles of lean management to ensure productivity.Sound, creative problem-solving techniques to resolve operational issues.Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.In return, we offer:The job security that comes with our list of long-term contracts.The chance to make an impact in a rapidly expanding company.The opportunity to further develop your skills in a strong, supportive environment.A workplace that focuses on safety first.A company with a culture of teamwork and respect.About CitywideAt Citywide, we are a proud company with a clear purpose and mission – we shape liveable cities by delivering the full scope of civil infrastructure, open space, and environmental services to government and private enterprise.
