At 1.9 kilometres deep, it is one of Australia's deepest underground mines.Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, CSA Mine directly employs over 500 people including contractors.Role Overview:We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Reliability Engineer to join our dynamic team at our underground copper mine. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for enhancing the reliability and performance of mining equipment and processes. Your expertise will be crucial in driving continuous improvement initiatives, ensuring maximum operational efficiency, and minimizing downtime.Key Responsibilities:Be an integral member of the reliability engineering team to achieve operational excellence.Develop, implement, and monitor reliability strategies for mining equipment and infrastructure.Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective actions.Collaborate with maintenance and operations teams to optimize maintenance schedules and procedures.Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and availability.Develop and manage key performance indicators (KPIs) related to equipment reliability and maintenance.Ensure compliance with safety, health, and environmental regulations.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mining Engineering (or related field).Proven experience in a reliability engineering role within the mining industry, preferably in an underground setting.Strong knowledge of reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) and failure modes and effects analysis (FMEA).Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) and data analysis tools.Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to perform root cause analysis.Strong communication and interpersonal skills.Commitment to safety and sustainability.Conditions:This position is offered on a residential (preferred) or drive in drive out (DIDO) or fly in fly out (FIFO) from Sydney or Brisbane. If residential is the preferred commute option relocation costs and a housing subsidy will be provided to the successful candidate to assist in relocating to Cobar.
