Western Diagnostic Pathology (WDP) provides diagnostic pathology services to more than two million patients throughout Western Australia and the Northern Territory each year.
We have 10 medical laboratories across the region, more than 200 collection sites, and a team of nearly 900 dedicated professionals.

Reporting to the Collections Business Partner, this role will support the newly formed collection operations team.
The Laboratory Liaison Officer is responsible for assisting in the coordination of priority specimens, general collection/laboratory inquiries, administrative tasks, and non-laboratory testing.
This role is responsible for the dispatch and timely return of results for tests performed on behalf of Cardioscan, maintaining collection documentation, and participating in projects as required.
To be successful in this role, you will have the following skills and experience: Sound knowledge in pathology workflow.Excellent customer service skills.Ability to multi-task, exceptional time management, and problem-solving skills.Understanding of Cardioscan procedures – Holters, BP, and ECG's.Practical knowledge of pathology collection or laboratory testing and understanding of preanalytical processes.Computer literacy including proficiency in MS Office.It will be considered highly advantageous for applicants to hold the following qualifications or skills: A degree or professional qualification in a relevant field, such as a Diploma or Certificate III in pathology collection.Substantial experience in pathology collection.Experience with Laboratory Information Systems (for example, ULTRA) is highly desirable.Demonstrated experience in problem-solving and continuous improvement.Additionally, the successful applicant will possess the ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
