* Diversify your experience while working for a dedicated organisation * Set the strategic direction for your function * Coach and mentor a newly established team in providing timely specialist advice to employees working across the state About the role: As the Health and Safety Senior Manager, your primary focus will be on ensuring Parks Victoria continues to achieve a high performing safety culture and creates a safe workplace for it's employees.
In achieving this you will be expected to provide consistent and high level strategic advice to senior management and Executives, consistent with the organisational statement of 'Safety First - Zero Injuries'.
You will be have the opportunity to set the direction for your team and establish a robust basis for identfying, managing and monitoring health and safety risks.
This role requires a professional with a high level of attention to detail, as the successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining appropriate levels of reporting on all incidents across the organisation, measuring and assessing Parks Victoria's HSE performance and providing this data to senior and executive management.
You will be a skilled communicator with the ability to build strong relationships with key stakeholders and coordinate workplace health and safety groups and committees consisting of internal employees, generating effective cross functional engagement.
We're looking for someone with: * Tertiary qualification in an occupational health and safety or related field is essential (minimum Diploma OH&S) * Demonstrated experience in building and managing a team of safety professionals * Demonstrated experience in provision of expert and technical advice and support pertaining to practical application of occupational health and safety legislation, regulations and Australian Standards * Proven issue identification, analytical and research skills, problem solving skills and a demonstrated ability to develop and negotiate innovative, sensitive and practical solutions and provide strategic advice to complex issues Your application will need to include: * Your current resume * A cover letter Join our innovative organisation and enjoy what you do, apply today.
