This pivotal role will drive the development and execution of a comprehensive quality strategy, ensuring seamless integration of manual and automated testing, and fostering a culture of quality excellence.
You will be responsible for managing a distributed team of outsourced QA professionals in India and the Philippines, working closely with product, engineering, and operations teams to deliver SaaS solutions that meet the highest standards of performance, reliability, and user satisfaction.
What You'll Do Strategic Leadership Develop and implement the overall quality engineering strategy, aligning with the company's goals and product roadmapDefine standards for manual and automated testing, ensuring scalability, consistency, and reliability across squadsDrive a shift-left testing approach, integrating quality practices early in the development lifecycleTeam Management and Mentorship Lead, mentor, and inspire a team of QA professionalsPromote collaboration between QA, developers, and product managers to enhance team effectivenessAutomation Oversight Define the strategy for test automation, including tool selection, framework design, and implementation guidelinesCollaborate with engineers to integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and track coverage metricsEnsure automation efforts focus on high-value test cases that optimise efficiency and reduce manual workloadOperational Excellence Establish and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for quality, including defect rates, test coverage, and release readinessConduct root cause analyses for critical issues, ensuring lessons learned are incorporated into future processesAdvocate for and implement processes that enhance the overall software delivery pipeline, such as continuous testing and monitoringCollaboration and Stakeholder Management Act as the primary point of contact for quality-related topics across the organizationWork with product and engineering teams to align quality objectives with product goals and timelinesFoster collaboration across squads, ensuring consistency in quality efforts across distributed teamsWhat You'll Bring Extensive experience in QA, and proven experience in a leadership role managing globally distributed teamsStrong experience with manual and automated testing frameworks and strategiesExpertise in automation tools like Selenium, Playwright and preferable Cypress, or similar, and integrating automated tests into CI/CD pipelinesKnowledge of performance, reliability, and security testing, with a focus on scalable SaaS platformsProven success in managing QA teams in India and the Philippines (ideal), building collaborative and productive relationshipsExperience leading cross-functional collaboration with engineering, product, and operations teams in a fast-paced environmentCore Values Core values required of all Simpro, AroFlo, BigChange & Clockshark employees: While experience in the above areas will be highly considered, it's important to note it will be secondary to the person with the right determination, attitude and compatibility.
