The Role
Ventia are currently looking to engage a Grounds & Landscape Maintenance Leading Hand to join our Defence Base Services Contract.
This position will see you working at Irwin Barracks in Karrakatta WA, within a well-established maintenance team.
In this role you will be responsible for the upkeep of a diverse range of built and natural park assets which include streetscapes, training grounds, verges and recreational grounds.
This position is a full-time permanent role, working Monday to Friday, 06:00am – 02:30pm (with overtime opportunities) and a 12:00pm finish on Fridays.
A commuter use vehicle will also be provided for all work-related travel.
The payrate for this position is $33.45 per hour.
To be considered for this position, you must be an Australian Citizen and willing to undergo a police check.

Provide effective and efficient delivery of the land management services Supervise and assist the Grounds Maintenance Team and relevant subcontractors as needed Complete administration tasks including grounds service inspections, workplace inspections, chemical registers, and relevant reporting Induct and train new team members Ensure effective communication within the team, including the daily toolbox meetings Requirements:
Current Driver's Licence – HR highly regarded Certificate II Horticulture Chainsaw Ticket – Level 1 or 2 Agvet Chemical Users Course or similar Able to Pass a Pre-employment medical including a Drug and Alcohol screen Experience in a similar parks & gardens or landscaping role – Highly desirable The Company
