About Us: Hitachi Construction Machinery (Australia) Pty Ltd is a leading manufacturer of construction and mining equipment.The OpportunityWith strong growth in our service department, our Port Hedland branch has an exciting opportunity for a Trade Assistant to join our team.
In this position, you will play a crucial role assisting Fitters providing service and planned maintenance support on a range of Hitachi Construction and Mining equipment.Working Monday to Friday you will:Forklift operationAssist Tradesmen to repair earthmoving machines in line with procedures when requiredMaintain a high level of accuracy when carrying out final QA inspections and pack units when ready for dispatchAssist Service Supervisor with daily duties in the branchMaintain a clean and tidy working environmentAs a Trades Assistant, you will have a strong safety focus and abide by site safety processes at all times.To be successful in this role you will need to:Be mechanically minded with a willingness to learnHave the ability to recognise basic product quality deviations/faultsGood communication skills and the ability to work autonomously or as part of a teamForklift License will be advantageousBenefitsPermanent Full Time Position working Monday to Friday in a leading OEM with long term job securityCompetitive salary package plus housing allowance (residential employees) & the potential to earn bi-annual bonusesGreat workplace culture – empathetic & supportive supervisors who strive for good work/life balanceTailored training to suit career development - inclusive of both Hitachi product specific & high-risk trainingExclusive staff discounts on Medibank Health Cover and Hitachi appliances, and other products & servicesSupportive management who value your input in finding new and improved ways to achieving success.
