We are looking for pilots who are ready to take on the challenge of serving in a dynamic and rewarding environment.
About the roleThis FIFO Line Pilot role is based in Meekatharra, WA 6642 and is an exciting opportunity to join the Royal Flying Doctor Service WA team, providing vital services to regional and remote communities on a 0.65FTE basis.
What you'll be doingOperate fixed-wing aircraft to transport patients, staff and equipment to and from remote locations.Ensure the safe and efficient operation of aircraft in accordance with all relevant regulations, procedures and policies.Provide high-quality patient care and liaise with medical teams on board.Perform pre-flight and post-flight checks and documentation.Contribute to the continuous improvement of aviation operations and safety.What we're looking forCommercial Pilot Licence (CPL).Single Pilot and/or Aeromedical experience will be highly advantageous.Significant experience (minimum 1500 hours) flying fixed-wing aircraft in a variety of weather conditions.Strong safety focus and commitment to best practice aviation standards.Excellent communication and teamwork skills to collaborate with medical and operational staff.Resilience and the ability to work effectively in remote and challenging environments.What we offerAt the Royal Flying Doctor Service WO, we are committed to supporting our employees and providing a rewarding and fulfilling work environment.

Every year, the RFDS WO provides urgent retrieval for about 10,000 patients in regional WA.
A further 10,000 appointments are provided in primary healthcare clinics in remote communities, including GP, nurse, dental and mental health care.
