Software Development Engineer, FireTV Platform Engineering teamAre you interested in jumping into the driver's seat of our sensational FireTV partner products?
We are looking for exceptional talent with Android Open Source Project (AOSP) expertise to join as a Senior Software Development Engineer in the Fire TV 3p Devices team.
Our team's mission is to build delightful FireTV products for our customers and partners with lower cost and faster time to market.
As a member of the team, you will be working with business partners, software development engineers, and testers to design, implement, test, launch, document, and maintain complex software applications, tools, and systems.
You will have significant influence on our overall strategy by helping define these product features, drive the system architecture, and spearhead the best practices that enable a quality product.
You will learn a variety of cutting-edge technologies, development processes, and develop well-rounded skills such as leadership and effective project management.
You will also mentor junior software development engineers.
Key Job ResponsibilitiesThe Role:
As a Senior Software Development Engineer - Systems, you will engage with an experienced cross-disciplinary staff to conceive, design, and bring to market innovative developer tools.
You will work closely with an internal interdisciplinary team and outside partners to drive key aspects of product definition, execution, and test.
You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open collaborative peer environment.
The ideal candidate has current and extensive experience developing and building Android systems and applications.
The candidate understands what the limitations of the platform are and can design and implement additional services or help optimize existing ones to meet the product requirements.
Basic Qualifications5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience5+ years of programming with at least one software programming language experience5+ years of experience in TIF or TV stackPreferred Qualifications5+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experienceBachelor's degree in computer science or equivalentAmazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace.
