Permanent Maintenance Fitter $49 p / hr + Shift Loading – Manly
Fuse Recruitment is sourcing for a Maintenance Fitter for a large National client based at Manly to become part of a dynamic and progressive maintenance team in the Manufacturing Industry.
THE CLIENT : Our client is a large Australian Manufacturer located in Manly supplying some of Australia's most iconic brands and is recognized as a leading edge provider of quality products in their industry.
WHAT'S ON OFFER : Excellent rates of Pay - $49.00 per hour (Permanent) and equivalent shift loading and overtime penalties where applicable.Working with state of the art equipment and production machinery.Opportunity to work and further advance your knowledge in Automation and leading edge technology in the industry.Long term opportunity with career progression.THE OPPORTUNITY : We are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter to join the maintenance team based at Manly.
The Maintenance Fitter will report directly to the Maintenance Manager and work closely with Maintenance Electricians, Operators, and Process Engineers to ensure that equipment and production machinery reliability is dealt with in an efficient and timely manner.
As a strong team player, the Maintenance Fitter will be willing to work and collaborate to assist operationally outside the areas of core responsibility and contribute to building a high performing team culture.
THE ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES : Working days : Monday to Friday working day shift.Flexibility to work Afternoon shift is desirable (shift loading applies).Duties : Carry out Preventative and Breakdown maintenance to plant and equipment within the production facility to ensure the plant runs smoothly and can produce products in line with factory schedule.Document completed works in PRONTO.High level of technical and diagnostic skills to enable fault finding of a mechanical nature.Complete services to machinery which includes working in confined spaces to ensure issues are identified and resolved before they occur.Manage inventory of critical spares.Take the lead on delivery of smaller projects to scope / user requirements.Participate in repair and maintenance of all site plant and equipment.Knowledge of and promote safe work practices.Ability to assist with project work and new installation.THE SUCCESSFUL CANDIDATE : Trade Certificate and/or equivalent qualification.3-5 years previous experience in an Industrial manufacturing environment.Forklift license.Confined space license.Electrical disconnect/reconnect.Elevated work platform (EWP) over 11 m.Knowledge of equipment maintenance processes.Excellent teamwork skills and ability to maintain a hands-on approach when required.Knowledge of WH&S requirements within a production environment.Demonstrated understanding of Work, Health and Safety.Flexibility in work hours where needed.If this position sounds like you, then hit APPLY now, alternatively email Mike Hadley on with your resume.
