Permanent Full-time Barangaroo – hybrid working Join BT in providing crucial oversight of our Investment Operations partners The Investment Operations and Oversight Team is part of Investment Product Solutions within the BT Group.
The team is responsible for a range of functions across Managed Funds and margin lending.
The Investment Operations and Oversight Team is accountable for the oversight of various functions and performance of our outsourced Managed Funds services.
How will I help?
As the Senior Operations Analyst you will join BT Group in the Investment Operations and Oversight team and be responsible for the day-to-day operational oversight of Managed Funds.
Primarily, you will lead our external partners who provide administration, custody, investment operations, and registry services to BT's Managed Funds.
You will also ensure the smooth running of daily operational activities including daily unit pricing review, daily liquidity management, RG7/ICR reporting, tax reclaim process, regulatory reporting, and reconciliations for this area.
Other key responsibilities include:
Coordinating the delivery of performance reports and performance attribution analysis Providing instructions to our outsourced partners in relation to custody and accounting functions Acting as a key escalation point for any queries regarding the functions of our outsourced partners Review and support of the yearly and half-yearly Financial Documents Prepare and present reports on oversight and fund activity Ensuring team documentation and tools remain fit for purpose and compliant with group standards and regulatory requirements Cross-skilling across various functions and activities performed by the Investment Operations and Oversight team to ensure coverage and continuity of team operations What do I need?
To be successful in this role, you must be an experienced finance or accounting professional ideally from the Managed Funds sector of Banking and Financial Services.
You must have demonstrable experience conducting operational oversight of managed or investment funds.
Other key attributes include:
Sound investment, financial markets, and investment product knowledge Strong organisational ability with demonstrable experience in business process improvement High level of attention to detail and accuracy Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Solid communication and interpersonal skills Initiative and willingness to improve current methods Advanced level of Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills Tertiary qualifications in Business, Finance, Accounting or other relevant field preferred What's it like to work there?
