It's not just any one player, employee, supporter or fan, Collingwood is made by many.The OpportunityReporting to the Head of Events and Activations, the Activations Manager will play a key role in developing and delivering exceptional fan-facing experiences across all business streams. Working in conjunction with the Executive General Manager Communications, Content & Customer and the Head of Events and Activations, this role will be responsible for the end-to-end project management of numerous key events for the Club.The Activations Manager will also manage and guide the Activations Coordinator in delivering game day and fan experiences, while providing additional support to the Senior Leadership team. Key focuses for this role will be game day production and operations, themed rounds, sports presentation, pre-game/post-game activations.Key ResponsibilitiesGeneralWork with senior leaders to develop annual game day strategy and plans.Work with the Activations Coordinator to deliver game day and fan experiences.Key focus on compliance and risk management.Budget forecasting, tracking and management across all key projects.End-to-end project management and execution of fan-facing experiences across all business streams, including but not limited to, game day production and operations, themed rounds, sports presentation, pre-game/post-game activations.Assistance with other projects as directed by senior leadership.Match Day Production + ThemingManagement of key operations at all team match days in line with relevant league guidelines.Lead the development of creative assets with the internal design team and external creative agencies to deliver branded elements for home-game venues at the MCG, Marvel Stadium and Victoria Park and other fan activations, ensuring creative is aligned to the overarching fan experience plan and complies with Collingwood brand guidelines.Lead the annual development of themed match day activation plans, overarching fan-experience creative and key experience strategies in conjunction with Event Partnerships Manager.Lead the development of an entertainment and production program to execute across AFL and AFLW home games, including Game Day hosts, MCs, on-field activations, music and productions providers.Stakeholder IntegrationWork with key stakeholders including community and commercial partners across fan activations, including match days.Foster innovative and collaborative efforts with partnerships, events, community, digital and communications teams for all fan experiences.Lead the Activations stream, including the capacity planning, workflow management and overall wellbeing of all direct reports in conjunction with senior leadership.Manage the Activations Coordinator and any Activations Interns to deliver production and experiences.About YouTo be successful as the Activations Manager, you will have:Industry Experience as an Activations Manager, or similar role (~3 Years).Impeccable organisational and time management skills with the flexibility to manage a range of concurrent projects with conflicting deadlines.Strong written and verbal communication.Strong attention to detail.Managerial experience and a trusted leader.Ability to build trust and rapport quickly with internal stakeholders.Be able to problem solve in a fast-moving environment.Live event management, including sports presentation and/or broadcast events, is desirable.Football Clubs are fast-paced environments but you will engrain yourself into the Collingwood culture, remain agile, adaptable, and consistently champion our Company values of DO BETTER, SIDE BY SIDE, A NEST FOR ALL and FLY HIGHER.What We OfferAs a valued staff member of our Sporting Club you will be a part of a fun, inclusive and flexible work environment.10 days Gifted Club Leave (in addition to 4-weeks Annual Leave)5-8% discount on saver fares in Economy and Business Class with EmiratesOffer on 12 month term accounts with La Trobe Financial10% off in all Nike retail storesExclusive access to the Nike athlete storeExclusive access to discounts with CUB Drinks CartDiscounted AIA Health InsuranceTo ApplyIf you are interested in this position, please send through your CV and cover letter that addresses why you are interested in working with the Collingwood Football Club, how your skills/experience would qualify for the position, and how you would contribute to the culture of the organisation.Please keep reading…Research shows that while men apply to jobs when they meet an average of 60% of the criteria, women and other marginalized folks tend to only apply when they check every box.
