An essential role in reproductive health: Our Scientific Director plays a crucial role in our business.
As an experienced scientific leader and pivotal member of our State Leadership Team you will bring expertise in reproductive science and guide our brave and compassionate team of dedicated scientists.
Leading our laboratories located in QLD, you will also collaborate with the Group Scientific Advisory Committee to deliver industry leading success rates, scientific impact and improve outcomes for our patients.
Challenging as it is rewarding, this fast paced, high volume and dynamic role, is responsible for: Leading and managing the strategic direction Mentoring, developing, and supporting all direct reports Ensuring all laboratories are compliant with relevant regulatory affairs Maintaining clinical and scientific partnerships across the Group Partnering with others for strategic planning and growth and project initiatives Committing to continuous improvement and best-in-class service Fostering a culture which is conducive in achieving our Mission and Vision Are you the ideal candidate for us?

Understanding there are ups and down in reproductive health, they'll stand brave with their team as they persevere for the patients in our care.
Our ideal Scientific Director will be committed to excellence, whilst also being a strong team player.
They'll be consistent in their commitment to quality, but flexible in their schedule.
To be considered for this role, it is essential you will bring: Higher tertiary qualifications in science or related field as per RTAC COP (PHD essential) A higher degree demonstrating a broad-based scientific experience in reproductive biology, with expertise and/or specialised training in the physiology of reproduction, research, cell biology and biochemistry, and experience in experimental design, statistics and problem solving.
Must also have a minimum of 5 years' of ART clinical laboratory experience and management of clinical embryology laboratory Must possess demonstrable knowledge of and continuing education in all laboratory aspects Outstanding verbal and written communication skills Dedication to excellence in patient care and empathy Strong understanding of confidentiality and privacy Knowledge of RTAC Code of Practice and all Industry compliance requirements Knowledge of Pathology practice and accreditation including NATA and AS ISO 15189-2013 Experience in laboratory accreditation processes An orientation to focus on patient outcomes and continuous improvement The ability to manage operations and resources across geographically separated sites Drive for self-improvement and for encouraging others to achieve Passionate about coaching and mentoring future scientific leaders Demonstrated ability to partner collaboratively with doctor network group A willingness to embrace, live and lead Our Principles Financial and commercial acumen The ability to think and plan strategically Understanding of quality and regulatory management principles and their application to IVF.
