About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Senior Accountant to join a growing, forward-thinking advisory firm based in the heart of Melbourne. Working closely with entrepreneurial clients across various industries, this role offers you the opportunity to shape business strategies and deliver innovative financial solutions.
Your responsibilities will include: Tax Advisory: Including advice on employee share schemes, restructuring, and more complex consulting workStrategic Planning: Providing guidance on business growth strategies and developmentFinancial Analysis: Conducting forecasting, budgeting, and cash flow modellingMentorship: Supporting and developing junior team members and helping shape the next generation of talentCross-Department Collaboration: Working with other specialists to enhance client services and leverage additional business opportunitiesPrepare and review financial statements, income tax returns, BAS, IAS, and FBT returnsEnsure all clients meet tax and regulatory obligations with accuracy and timelinessSkills and Experience
We are looking for candidates who have:
3-5 years of experience in a mid-tier or large accounting firm, ideally in a similar advisory-focused roleA CA or CPA qualificationStrong technical proficiency in tax, financial modelling, and advisory engagements, including valuations and forecastingExpert skills in Xero and Microsoft ExcelA passion for mentoring and developing junior team membersCulture & Benefits
