Project Officer, Population Wellbeing And Women'S Health

About the role: * The VPS-4 Project Officer in the Women's Health Team, Women's Health and Population Wellbeing Unit, within the Population and Women's Health Branch in the Community and Public Health Division will support work to deliver on women's health initiatives under the Women's Health Reforms, Giving Women's Health the Focus and Funding it Deserves, Victorian Government election commitments.
This suite of initiatives includes establishment of new women's health clinics and expansion of sexual and reproductive health services across Victoria, in addition to investments into research and evidence, scholarships for women's health specialists, and community-based support groups.
* The role will provide policy, project management and implementation support across the project's life cycle, prepare and coordinate project reports, meeting papers and briefings, support contract management, lead business transactions and build and maintain positive relationships with key stakeholders across the department.

How you'll make a difference: * Provide high quality and timely policy, project and business management and implementation support for the breath of Women's health reform initiatives.
This suite of initiatives includes establishment of new women's health clinics and expansion of sexual and reproductive health services across Victoria, in addition to investments into research and evidence, scholarships for women's health specialists, and community-based support groups.
* Assist in providing advice, reasoned recommendations and innovative solutions to complex and sensitive issues based on comprehensive research.
* Assist in developing guidelines and program initiatives that meet government and departmental objectives within resourcing, timeline and budget parameters.
* Assist in the monitoring and reporting of high priority issues, risks and trends and support the development of reports, ministerial briefs, Cabinet and agency submissions.
* Establish and maintain effective working relationships and facilitate collaboration across the department and with key external stakeholders.
* Work across multiple projects, including meeting and workshop preparation, distribution of funds to funded agencies, process payment requests, monitoring expenditure, contract management, and working in multidisciplinary teams to meet emerging pressures and demands, as required.
Suitable applicants will be able to demonstrate: * Knowledge and access to Department of Health Commitment Register, Service Agreement Management System (SAMS2) and MAPS is desirable.
* Background in business management, project or program management and/or office administration is highly desirable.
