About the RolePrimary responsibilities include:
Assisting staff as the first point of contact for general HR enquiries.Generating HR correspondence including contracts of employment, variation letters, and statements of service.Event Coordination for activities such as staff social events, WHS initiatives, and HR awareness and education campaigns.Curating and communicating learning & development opportunities for staff, linked to professional development goals.Serving on the WHS Committee, preparing agenda and minutes, and contributing to fostering a safe workplace.Engaging in continuous improvement of the HR function, proposing ideas for improvement and implementation.Selection CriteriaQualifications and Professional Standing:
Possession of a relevant degree level qualification, or an equivalent combination of relevant experience/training.Essential:Committed Christian involved in a local congregation.Experience (2+ years) working in an Administrator or Coordinator role or equivalent.Experience in a Human Resources related role (highly desirable).Experience in a Higher Education setting (or equivalent) would be an advantage.Experience working with Employment Hero HR software would be an advantage.Customer service focused individual with strong people skills and leadership qualities.High level of professionalism and maintenance of privacy and confidentiality, at all times.Technological literacy in a wide range of desktop applications to support reporting and analysis role requirements.Excellent oral and written communication skills, and confidence in collaborating with stakeholders from all levels of the business.Proven organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.Excelsia BenefitsMaximise your "take home" income through our Salary Packaging scheme with Smart Salary.Enjoy flexible and family friendly policies, providing generous leave and working conditions.Experience working in a culturally rich environment, with opportunities to engage in spiritual devotions.Upskill with our substantial College tuition discount to eligible staff and their immediate families.Learn more about why Excelsia is a Great Place to Work Certified and why our staff love working at Excelsia here: Great Place to Work.
