DRIVE TOWARDS A GREENER FUTURE WITH TOOWOOMBA REGIONAL COUNCIL'S WASTE SERVICE TEAM Position Overview: As a Waste Plant Operator with Toowoomba Regional Council, you'll be integral to managing and operating our Waste Management Facilities.
Your responsibilities will encompass a diverse range of tasks including waste placement, compaction, transportation, and equipment operation.
You'll collaborate closely with our team at Hermitage Road, Cranley, ensuring efficient waste management and contributing to our community's environmental sustainability.
About Us - Waste Services Branch: Toowoomba Regional Council's Waste Services Branch is at the forefront of waste management and recycling efforts in the region.
We lead by example in waste collection, resource recovery, and public education, aligned with the TRC Waste Management Strategy 2021.
Our team consists of dedicated professionals with diverse expertise, united by a common goal of environmental stewardship and community wellbeing.
Together, we're working towards a sustainable future for the Toowoomba Region.

"Qualifications Requirements for Success: Driver's Licence: Hold a current 'HR' Heavy Rigid Class Driver's Licence and be willing to obtain 'HC' Heavy Combination Class within 6 months.Safety Certifications: Possess a WHS Competency (White Card) and Chain of Responsibility Level 1 (TLIF0009), or a commitment to obtaining them.First Aid: Maintain a current First Aid Certificate (HLTAID011) or obtain one within 3 months of starting.Equipment Operation: Demonstrate competency in operating at least one of the following: Landfill Compactor, Dozer, Tracked Loader, Wheel Loader, or Excavator.Desirable Qualification: Certificate III in Waste Management or equivalent from a recognized institution.How to Apply: If you're ready to take on this fulfilling role, please submit your current resume and ensure you've answered all application questions thoroughly.
