Position: Motor Mechanic Location: Southport, QLD Job Responsibilities: As a key member of our service team, you will:
• Utilise advanced diagnostic tools to identify faults in engines and various vehicle systems, ensuring precise and efficient troubleshooting.
• Skillfully dismantle, inspect, and assess engine assemblies, transmissions, steering mechanisms, and other critical components, identifying areas in need of repair or replacement.
• Execute comprehensive repairs and component replacements, adhering strictly to manufacturer guidelines and service manuals.
• Conduct routine maintenance checks (e.g., oil changes, lubrications, and engine tune-ups) to enhance vehicle performance and comply with environmental standards.
• Reassemble mechanical components with precision, restoring systems to their optimal condition.
• Perform final testing and adjustments on mechanical parts to ensure flawless operation post-repair.
• Engage in computer-aided diagnostics and testing to validate the functionality of parts and systems.
• Assess vehicles for roadworthiness, providing recommendations as required by regulatory standards.
Additional Responsibilities: • Stay current with the latest automotive technologies and methods, contributing to continuous improvement initiatives within the service centre.
• Provide exceptional customer service, offering detailed explanations of service needs and maintenance advice to vehicle owners.
Hours of Work: This is a full-time role, requiring 38 hours of work per week.
Compensation: The successful applicant will be offered a competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $80,000 per annum, plus superannuation, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
Required Qualifications: • Minimum of 2 years experience as a Motor Mechanic.
• AQF Certificate III or IV in relevant field.
