Are you a passionate and highly motivated Work Health & Safety Advisor, with the ability to influence change across multiple sites?
If so, you are exactly who MLG are looking for to join our Work Health and Safety (WHS) Team.
Reporting to the WHS Manager & supporting the internal Operations Team; this is a great opportunity for an experienced WHS Advisor who wants the ability to make a meaningful contribution to the company's WHS program implementation on multiple sites of varying scales.
Key Aspects of the Role: Provide support to our Regional Management team regarding Work Health and Safety mattersManage, review, and seek the continual improvement of the WHS Management System in alignment to legislative requirements and industry best practicesAbility to travel upon request for site related WHS mattersLead/Facilitate Incident InvestigationsAble to prepare report(s) on a monthly and as required basisConduct Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification activitiesUse Safety Management Software (MYOSH or similar)Acting as the first point of contact for WHS queries and adviceLiaise with insurers and medical providers regarding Workers Compensation and Return to Work PlansLocation and Roster: Perth Based 5/2 Roster (50 hrs per week)Site Visits requiredWhat does the ideal candidate bring to MLG? Certificate IV or Diploma OHS/WHSCertificate IV in Training and Assessment (desirable)Be experienced in system and program implementation, including behavioural safetyHave 5+ years of experience in WHS within the resources industryHave experience in Injury Management processesKnowledge and understanding of the regulatory framework for WHS (state and national)Communicate with influence (written/verbal) clearly and concisely at all levelsComfortable having conversations that reiterate the required WHS behavioursAble to develop and maintain internal and external relationshipsStrong knowledge of Microsoft OfficeCan work autonomously within a teamPassion for WHSCurrent Australian Driver's LicencePass a Pre-employment medical + DASWhat will MLG provide me with?
