We welcome patients with private insurance, self-funded options, and eligible veterans under our DVA partnership.About the Role:Townsville Private Clinic is committed to providing high-quality mental health services, and we're seeking an Allied Health Professional to join our Allied Health team. This is a great opportunity to work within a multidisciplinary team, delivering mental health interventions to support patients' recovery and enhance psychosocial outcomes.Position Overview:As a Level 3 Allied Health Professional in Psychology or Social Work, you'll deliver individual and group psychotherapy, conduct discipline-specific assessments, and coordinate patient care. Working alongside patients and their families, you'll contribute to recovery plans and support a holistic approach to mental health care.Key Responsibilities:Clinical Care: Provide high-quality mental health interventions, including individual and group therapy, within a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.Group Therapy: Develop, implement, facilitate, and evaluate group therapy programs tailored to patient needs.Patient Safety: Maintain a safe and supportive environment, adhering to infection control and workplace safety protocols.Team Collaboration: Contribute to a positive team environment, assisting with the orientation of new staff and supporting team goal-setting.Continuous Improvement: Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development and review of clinical policies and procedures.What You'll Bring:A Bachelor's degree in Psychology (with AHPRA registration) or Social Work (with eligibility for AASW membership), showcasing your professional foundation and commitment to best practices.Proven experience in mental health settings, with a comprehensive understanding of various treatment modalities to support patient-centred care.Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and time-management skills, enabling you to handle complex situations with clarity and efficiency.A strong ability to work autonomously and collaboratively, contributing positively to team dynamics and patient outcomes.Desirable Qualifications:An advanced postgraduate qualification in a relevant discipline, reflecting your dedication to specialised knowledge and growth.Mental Health Social Worker Accreditation (for Social Workers), underscoring your expertise in supporting mental health patients effectively.What We Offer:At Townsville Private Clinic, we believe in empowering our team with a collaborative and nurturing work environment that places patient care at the heart of everything we do.
