DIESEL MECHANICS/FITTERS/LV MECHANICS - THE GULF DIDO/FIFO
We currently have permanent positions available for Diesel Mechanics and Diesel Fitters to join our team in the Gulf. This is a DIDO position and a perfect opportunity to join a large, secure, reputable company.
About us:
BDS Mechanical Repairs is a privately owned and growing business that offers mechanical, auto electrical and welding repairs both in house and onsite with 22 fixed workshop locations throughout Queensland. We have over 160 field service units and the team at BDS cover over 600,000 km2 of Queensland and Western Australia, meaning we're never too far away.
The successful candidates will possess the following:

Relevant Trade Qualification
Diagnostic experience
Good communication skills
LV experience and some auto electrical experience
Highway truck or heavy earthmoving experience a bonus
Strong fault finding skills
Ability to work as part of a team
Extra skills, experience, tickets and licenses will be advantageous

Your duties will include:

Diesel engine diagnostics & repair, major and minor rebuilds
General Repairs/maintenance works – Trucks & Trailers/4×4's
Replacing vehicle engines, steering mechanisms, transmissions and braking systems
Checking vehicle lighting systems
Test driving vehicles to gauge performance
Maintaining detailed records of serviced vehicles
Adhering to an inspection procedure checklist
