Inspired by the leisurely ambiance of Mediterranean getaways along the Amalfi Coast, OVELLO Bar and Kitchen is located on the ground level of Mantra South Bank Brisbane.
Accommodating up to 80 guests, OVELLO Bar and Kitchen is open daily for breakfast, lunch, and dinner for guests and locals to immerse themselves in a laid-back and enjoyable Italian dining experience, where the flavours of Italy come to life in a casual and vibrant setting.
In your free time, explore South Bank's many entertainment and recreation offerings that are within walking distance including restaurants, parklands, the famous Streets Beach, Queensland Performing Arts Centre, Queensland Museum and more.
Purpose
As our Café All-Rounder , you'll bring efficiency, knowledge, and a passion for food and beverage service to every interaction.
Your role will be all about creating memorable experiences for our guests through exceptional service, ensuring every visit is warm and welcoming while also keeping our space safe, clean, and comfortable.
Primary Responsibilities
Deliver passionate, knowledgeable, and friendly service to both external guests and internal team members, creating a welcoming environment at all times.
Provide efficient food and beverage service within your designated section, anticipating guest needs to enhance their experience.
Confidently upsell specials and menu items as directed, contributing to an enhanced dining experience and revenue growth.
Maintain and clean all service equipment and ensure stock is well-prepared for seamless food and beverage service.
Demonstrate strong product knowledge, including menu ingredients, preparation methods, and presentation, to accurately answer guest inquiries and enhance the dining experience.
Skills & Experience
Proven track record in customer service within the hospitality sector.
Proficiency in food & beverage protocols, encompassing table service, beverage expertise, and coffee crafting skills (strongly valued).
Flexibility across different schedules including weekends and public holidays as required.
Possession of a valid RSA or an equivalent qualification for the specific Country / State / Territory.
Passion for engaging with patrons and collaborating within a team of diverse professionals.
