Caseload Midwife

My Midwives is seeking applications for 2 caseload midwife positions in our Brisbane and Birthing in Our Community (BiOC) practices from enthusiastic and passionate midwives who are seeking to make a positive difference in the world.

Our team currently has 2 vacancies for experienced midwives who want to take the next step into private practice and make a positive difference in not only the lives of women, but in the entire maternity care system.
My Midwives is focused on developing midwives.
We support your development in clinical skills, in relational care and communication, growing the midwifery leaders of the future.
One position is working within our Brisbane team as a caseload midwife providing truly autonomous midwifery care out of our Windsor and North Lakes clinics.
The other position is working within our BiOC Partnership team also as a caseload midwife providing midwifery care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and babies out of our Caboolture and Strathpine clinics.
The BiOC program is now in its 12th year and delivering unprecedented perinatal outcomes including almost closing the gap in preterm birth and low birth weights, reducing admissions to and duration of stay in neonatal nursery and delivering improvements in many other measures of maternal and infant well-being.
What you will bring to us: To be considered for these roles, the successful applicants must have:
Current registration with AHPRAMinimum of 2 years postgraduate experience in midwiferyCurrent experience working in antenatal care, birth suites and post-natal settingsBiOC Partnership midwife position: The ability to recognise the importance of family, community, partnership and collaboration in the healthcare decision making process of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples, for both prevention strategies and care delivery.Commit to a learning mindset, participate in collaborative cultural education always respecting Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander peoples ways of knowing, being, doing and belonging.Experience working in a continuity of care modelEvidence of continuing educational and professional developmentEndorsement of Scheduled MedicinesUnderstanding of the requirements of midwifery continuity of care with admitting rights to public hospitalsYou must be able to demonstrate your ability to work collaboratively with the wider multidisciplinary team.BiOC Partnership midwife position: Understanding and commitment to the principles of Aboriginal Community Controlled Health ServicesExperience in providing care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander women and their familiesMidwives who are working towards or are planning to work towards their endorsement for scheduled medicines are encouraged to apply. In Brisbane, My Midwives admits clients to Metro North Hospitals in Brisbane (RBWH), Caboolture and Redcliffe.

Within the My Midwives model of care, our midwives work on a rostered on-call system with protected days off.
These positions are remunerated as an annualised salary from $88,830 up to $129,000 (including caseload loading) plus superannuation based on your experience and endorsement.
You will also be provided with all clinical equipment, iPad and Phone as well as 6 weeks annual leave and all other statutory leave entitlements.
My Midwives staff also have access to Novated Lease programs with an external party.
We are flexible with the FTE for the right applicants.
