The Royal Children's Hospital's (RCH) Vision is "A world where all kids thrive".
RCH is a cornerstone member of the Melbourne Children's Campus, partnering with Murdoch Children's Research Institute, The University of Melbourne Department of Pediatrics and The Royal Children's Hospital Foundation.
RCH has cared for the children and young people of Victoria for more than 150 years since it was founded in 1870.
A full range of paediatrics and adolescent health services are provided plus tertiary and quaternary care for the most critically ill and medically complex patients in Victoria, Tasmania, southern NSW and other states around Australia and overseas.
The Role: This is a Permanent Full Time position at 80 hours per fortnight within the Workplace Health and Safety Team.
You will be responsible for managing the internal RCH Early Intervention Program, Workcover claims and non work related injuries within your portfolio.
In addition, there is a requirement to be involved with projects within the WHS space, under the Direction of Director, Workplace Health, Safety and Wellbeing.
What you'll achieve: The ability to positively impact the health and wellbeing of RCH staffInvolvement in broader WHS projects and activities that relate to staff wellbeingOpportunities to upskill and develop within a supportive environmentYour skills and experience: Previous experience managing injuries within a complex and fast moving environmentTechnical expertise in managing Victorian Workers Compensation claims5+ years experience within an injury management role, ideally within an employer environmentOther requirements: Current National Criminal Record Check, or willing to obtainValid Working with Children CheckCompliance with RCHs "Staff Immunisation - Prevention of Vaccine Preventable Diseases" procedureApplication process: To apply, you will need a resume and a tailored cover letter outlining your skills, experience, and suitability for the position in line with the requirements of the position description.
