Join our team as a personal care worker providing in-home support and be a part of our mission to help older Victorians live their best lives.We're looking for Care workers in the Grampians region.
At this point in time, we are only seeking care workers who have a Certificate III in Individual Support or higher, or who have completed their first year of nursing.Supporting our elders in their homes means you are one-on-one with clients working individually.
You could help with personal care or domestic duties in the morning or evening, or keep clients connected to their community through activities they love, like walking, gardening, going out for a coffee or lunch, and transporting them to appointments.
Generally, you will visit 2-4 clients per day, approximately 1-3 hours per visit.Why work with us?Pay rates from $39 per hour (inclusive of casual loading)Recently increased hourly rates and guaranteed annual pay increasesShift flexibility to suit your needs, including shorter days and your pick of days of the week that you want to work (between the hours of 7am to 6pm, Monday to Friday)Paid travel time + a mileage allowance of 99 cents per kilometreNot-for-profit salary packaging for up to $2,500 per year - offering you more take-home pay with less taxPaid training hours to build your skillsA tablet to work on - no need to use your own phone or write everything down (training provided)Dedicated senior carers to help induct and mentor youProudly being part of a business that values Respect, Responsibility, Community, and SpiritA proven history of internal career progression and opportunities for you to move within Benetas so your story with us continuesTo best support our clients, we're looking for people with:A genuine passion for caring and ability to build rapport with older VictoriansAble to work independentlyA reliable car and valid driver's license to drive between client's homes and drive clients as requiredRespect for all, regardless of background, gender, age, religion, race, or sexual orientationThe annual flu immunisation and a willingness to obtain each year to help keep our clients safeAbility to provide or obtain a suitability police check outcomeAbility to supply or obtain current CPR (HLTAID 009) and First Aid Training Certificates (HLTAID 011)A Qualification such as Certificate III in Individual Support, Certificate IV in Disability Support, or similar.
If you have finished your first year of a nursing qualification, that will count as a qualification.If you do not have a qualification in aged care, individual support, nursing, or disability, you can still apply and work as a Personal Care Worker.
Your duties without a qualification will be more domestic duties, such as helping with meals and cooking, cleaning, walking, gardening, and general company to name a few.Whether you have no experience but have the passion or are an experienced carer or recently graduated - we're offering you a meaningful career and we'll support you to succeed.
