Plant Service Technician

Workfast are currently looking for a Plant Mechanic in Cairns, commencing immediately. This is an ongoing position with the potential to go permanent after the probation period.This role will see you working on rollers, loaders, skid steers, conveyors, and trucks. You will also be required to do general labouring where needed.What you will get:$48-$50/hr depending on tickets and experienceImmediate startPenalties and afternoon/night ratesFulltime hours, Monday - FridayUse of work uteTemp-perm positionTraining, growth, and developmentWhat you will be doing:Handling workshop tools and equipment, including performing diagnostic checks and calibration tests.Identifying issues using engineering schematics and P&IDs.Overseeing a variety of mobile equipment used in asphalt production, including conducting repairs and addressing breakdowns.Performing general workshop tasks like inventory management and cleaning.Willingness to work day shifts and possible night and Saturday shifts.Complying with Workplace Health and Safety guidelines.The Requirements:Mechanical trade certificationHR or higher licenseForklift ticket is a bonusExperience in servicing and maintaining mobile machineryProficient in diagnostics and troubleshootingCapable of working independently with minimal oversightExpertise in mechanical, hydraulic, and auto-electrical systemsAbout us:Workfast is a labour hire company working with some of Australia's largest and leading building companies.
