We align ourselves with our clients' objectives and service the needs of those who have a desire for a high level of expertise in management, leasing, acquisition, divestment, and re-positioning of assets in this sector.Description of role:An opportunity has arisen for a Facilities Manager to join our Retail Projex Management Team. The position will be a full-time role working alongside our management team for a portfolio of multiple assets. You will be responsible for the facilities and risk management of a diverse portfolio to ensure optimum performance, compliance, and investment return.Key responsibilities include:Ensuring building compliance is proactively managed to ensure that all legislative requirements are adhered to at all times.Undertaking regular re-tendering of service contracts including a review of specifications and role requirements taking into consideration best practice.Daily on-site contractor management from obtaining quotes, raising purchase orders to ensuring works are completed within budget and on time.Managing and maintaining the high standard presentation and day-to-day operations of the asset, including security, maintenance, and safety.Undertaking detailed routine site inspections and actioning any items requiring attention.Developing strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including tenants, clients, contractors, and colleagues.Reviewing the monthly operating expenditure against budget.Working with the Centre Manager to produce monthly client reports as required.Ensuring all planned preventative maintenance is executed in accordance with schedules and all plant and equipment is maintained to the very highest of standards.Focusing on sustainability improvements and adding value through efficiencies in the operations of the centres.Managing capital expenditure projects.The Ideal candidate will have:Experience in a similar role, with knowledge of shopping centre and retail operations.Intermediate level of MS Office skills (Outlook, Word & Excel) - Essential.Strong attention to detail and written communication skills.Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask and prioritise.Ability to communicate to the highest standard, both verbally and in writing, always closing out tasks.Ability to work with minimal supervision.Hold a current QLD Drivers licence.This role requires an individual with strong commercial acumen within the retail/centre management industry who can add real value as well as experience in managing the day-to-day operations of a retail centre efficiently.Why Retail Projex:Work within an organisation that values personal development and growth as part of our culture.Retail Projex provides 1 day paid birthday leave each year.Be a part of a collaborative management team, whilst having exposure to Senior Management and Directors within the business and having the ability to influence and work for great clients.Employee Assistance Program (EAP).If growth and stability is what you desire, Retail Projex endeavours to promote from within.Your application will include the following questions:Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?How many years' experience do you have as a facilities manager?Do you have a current Australian driver's licence?Which of the following Microsoft Office products are you experienced with?
