Student Accessibility & Inclusion SpecialistPermanent/continuing, part-time or full-time appointment (28 - 35 hours per week)The Student Accessibility & Inclusion Specialist provides specialised support to students with disabilities or medical conditions at the University of Wollongong (UOW), helping them confidently navigate their studies and succeed in higher education. Working with UOW faculties and professional units, the role delivers personalised adjustments and cohort-based interventions to promote equitable academic success and inclusive practices.The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., occupational therapy, education, psychology) with at least four years of experience or equivalent, along with contemporary knowledge of challenges faced by students with disabilities and equity groups in higher education. Experience assessing barriers, recommending adjustments, providing specialist support, and applying relevant legislation is essential. The role also demands strong interpersonal, organisational, and communication skills, along with experience in assistive technology and a commitment to culturally respectful and inclusive practices.This student-facing role involves direct interaction with students and is based at Wollongong campus.
