Senior Test Analyst - Non-FunctionalReserve Bank of Australia, Sydney, AustraliaThis role is part of the Technical Assurance team within the Payments Settlements department, Business Services Group. Business Services Group is responsible for the provision of banking and payments services to Australian Government agencies, the provision of payment settlement services to Australian financial system participants through the Reserve Bank Information and Transfer System (RITS) and the Fast Settlement Service (FSS), the conduct of Exchange Settlement Accounts and the production and issuance of Australian banknotes.About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Senior Test Analyst in the Non-Functional Testing Stream to join our team. This is a 2-year, fixed-term engagement as part of the Core Modernisation program which involves a major upgrade of core technology infrastructure. Our main office is located in Sydney, NSW, with the option to work from our additional location in Baulkham Hills.Key ObjectivesProven experience and expertise in non-functional testing, especially in the area of performance testing.Proficiency with performance testing tools and monitoring tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner, Gatling and Kibana and similar tools.Skilled in test automation and the implementation of leading tools such as Selenium using JAVA, REST Assured, Cucumber and Serenity.Develop and implement NFT Test strategies and plans that are appropriate to address the risk and complexity of the projects or initiatives.Coordinate performance and contingency testing for each agreed project to ensure that technical requirements are met for FSS, RITS, SWIFT, IBM Sterling and associated systems.Plan and execute testing related deliverables across various test levels that include both functional and non-functional testing.Maintain test suites, automation framework and test environments ensuring environment conflicts are minimised through pro-active management.Support coordination and planning of testing activities of systems in the Payment Settlements (PS) department aimed at minimising risk while achieving high levels of quality, in the most pragmatic manner.Ensure consistent application of testing standards, practices, and processes, whilst aiming for continuous improvement to achieve value-based practices.Work with the team to drive quality improvements particularly in the testing space, to ensure a consistent approach to testing and to foster a quality mindset.Analyse requirements and system changes, design and execute tests that aim to minimise risks and achieve the highest levels of quality assurance and reliability.Provide second-level support to PS Operations and PS Settlements, this includes training, handover, and support documentations.Proficiency and experience working in an agile environment preferred.Your BackgroundAdvanced experience in performance testing, failover testing and contingency testing.Extensive experience in the planning, management, support and testing of non-functional changes to mission critical systems.Experience in implementing non-functional testing frameworks and tools.Working experience in finance or banking industry is strongly preferred.Knowledge of payments and settlements systems is also desirable.What do we offer?Impactful work on critical national payments settlements systems that help run the Australian economy.Opportunity to be part of innovations in the payments industry.Flexible working arrangements.Be MoreWorking for an organisation that truly makes a difference to the people of Australia, we can offer development and career opportunities in a collaborative environment that supports your growth, wellbeing and promotes flexibility.
