We serve clients across the energy and resources, infrastructure, water, environment, and urban development sectors.
Our East Coast business unit is seeking a Senior/Principal Civil Engineer with 10+ years of experience to lead and deliver complex civil engineering projects, primarily within the mineral resources and mining non-process infrastructure sectors. The successful candidate will bring a high level of expertise and leadership, along with the ability to provide strategic direction across a diverse portfolio of projects.
Key Responsibilities: Lead the design, development, and delivery of detailed designs, drawings, documentation, reports, proposals, and specifications for civil engineering projects. Oversee and ensure quality standards across roads, earthworks, water piping, and gas piping projects. Apply advanced knowledge of hydrology, hydraulics, and geotechnical engineering principles to complex project challenges. Engage with and manage relationships with external engineering firms, clients, and other disciplines, ensuring collaboration and alignment across all stakeholders. Take full ownership of project planning, monitoring resources, schedules, and key milestones to ensure timely and successful delivery. Represent the company at high-level project meetings, site inspections, and industry events, ensuring objectives are achieved and documented. Mentor junior engineers and support the continuous development of technical capabilities within the team. Establish and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to drive business growth and project success. Key Skills and Experience: Minimum of 10 years of experience in civil engineering, with a focus on the resources and infrastructure sectors. Proven ability to lead projects independently, ensuring successful delivery from concept through to completion. Expertise in roads, earthworks, water piping, and gas piping design and implementation. Strong communication, leadership, and client relationship management skills. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team and manage complex stakeholder requirements.
