Lead this kingdom with vision and oversight We're seeking a Plant Operations & Maintenance Manager to oversee and guide the entire operational and maintenance team with wisdom, strength, and vision.
In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring every aspect of the wastewater treatment plant is running smoothly and effectively to deliver safe wastewater treatment for the Perth CBD.
You will lead with wisdom and inspire a dedicated team to uphold high standards, maximizing productivity, and minimizing downtime.

Base yourself in Subiaco at our third largest Plant in WA
Be empowered to serve our Community & lead with care. You will manage a team of 25 workers from Trades to Technical.
Every day you will be delivering on the core competency of the Water Corporation, delivering safe and effective wastewater treatment
Your Manager will support and encourage you to think 'out of the box' for solutions.
In this role, the buck stops with you.
You will have the autonomy and authority to make decisions.
You are empathetic, a visionary, and intrigued by creative problem-solving.
The first few months will have you familiarizing yourself with our site and the team, understanding the risks and embracing opportunities for finding better solutions.
The long-term plan will focus on running a sustainable operation of the site, with a focus on cost reduction and achieving requirements, including planning for major upgrades.
To excel in this role, you will have a strong background in leading field-based teams and technical expertise.
Building strong foundations and relationships across all hierarchy levels will be crucial.
You will be working with field operators and leading tours for board members or ministers, requiring adaptability as no day will be the same.
The fundamentals of the role: Take personal ownership, put safety first, and make decisions with the whole organization in mind.Focus on continually improving safety performance, customer service, and productivity.Design, develop, and implement business plans in line with the organization's strategic direction.Ensure the delivery of products of highly complex processes to receiving customers to the standards set out in supplier agreements.Manage operational input and ensure adequate Operations and Maintenance (O&M) resourcing into the asset acquisition process of major and minor capital works.Accountable for the preparation, management, and review of the O&M budget for the assigned facilities.Develop strategies, policies, processes, and reviews, and manage the application, maintenance, and continuous review of operational plans.Liaise with key members of the local community, including regular Community Reference Group meeting attendance.Ideally, you will possess: Degree level qualification in civil, chemical, or environmental engineering or approved equivalent.Substantial experience in complex processing treatment, operations, and management.Substantial experience in leading field-based teams.Valid WA Driver's License.Real benefits that matter.
