Are you a passionate WHS professional ready to lead and innovate in workplace health and safety?Our client, a prominent organisation in the retail sector, is searching for an experienced WHS Manager to join their team.
This role plays a pivotal part in ensuring compliance, building safety frameworks, and fostering a proactive safety culture across multiple divisions.
They offer hybrid flexibility with head office based in the Sydney CBD close to public transport.
Key Responsibilities:As the WHS Manager, you will report directly into the leadership team while operating in a standalone role.
You will manage key duties which will include: Develop, implement, and oversee WHS strategies, systems, and frameworks.Drive the WHS Committee and other relevant committees, ensuring effective management of all WHS functions.Monitor and advise on legislative changes, guiding the organization's policies and procedures.Lead risk assessment initiatives, manage hazard incidents, and collaborate with stakeholders to mitigate WHS risks.Report on WHS performance metrics and advise senior management on trends.Ensure effective incident management, hazard management, and compliance with all WHS obligations.Collaborate with the Health & Wellbeing team to promote a safe and inclusive work environment.To be successful in this WHS position, you will require the following skills and qualifications: Extensive knowledge of WHS legislation, standards, and codes of practice.Proven experience in implementing and improving WHS management systems.Strong stakeholder engagement skills and the ability to guide organizational change.Ability to manage high-risk environments and maintain compliance standards.Excellent communication and report-writing skills, including committee engagement.Relevant tertiary qualification in WHS or related field.This is an exciting opportunity to work with a leading organisation committed to safety and employee well-being.
