We have a highly engaged, diverse and collaborative workforce that is unified by our purpose, which is to help people live healthy and fulfilled lives.About Specialist ClinicsSpecialist Clinics is a consultative-based health service, incorporating teaching, training, research and minor procedures for clients from the community and non-bed-based hospital patients.The department stretches across five locations on two campuses - Level 3 Lance Townsend Building (Austin Hospital), Tobruk Centre and Level 2 & Level 4, Centaur Building, Repatriation Hospital. Currently over 600 clients attend each day.About the roleThe Nurse Coordinator position at Specialist Clinics is a newly established role. We are looking for a dynamic and enthusiastic senior nurse who takes initiative and is excited to help shape this position to meet our service needs. As a member of the Specialist Clinics team, you will work closely with medical units and external healthcare providers. Your responsibilities will include managing and enhancing clinic capacity, ensuring patients are prepared before their appointments, overseeing clinic bookings, and collecting, interpreting & responding to data related to Specialty Clinics activity.About youTo be successful in this role you'll bring with you:Excellent communication skills, both written and verbalExcellent time management & clinical prioritisation skillsDemonstrated experience in the outpatient care settingHighly motivated to improve the provision of quality care for patients requiring non-admitted careWorking at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
