Nursing - General Medical & Surgical (Healthcare & Medical) Doctors on Playford & Doctors at Westlands Medical Practice has a very strong chronic disease management focus and we are looking for a committed and enthusiastic registered or enrolled nurse to join our team.
We are seeking a professional and cheerful applicant to complement the duties of our current practice nurse for a full-time position.
Job tasks and responsibilities This clinic is a very fast-paced environment.
We are looking for a Registered or Enrolled nurse who is versatile and experienced, with a happy and helpful disposition, willing to turn to any task.
You will be responsible for the provision of a professional and efficient medical service while providing the best quality of care for our patients.
The Medical Centres is fully computerized, and as such, the successful candidate will require solid computer skills.

Reporting to the Practice Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a broad range of services including but not limited to:
Sound knowledge of the Immunisation schedule & cold chain managementDressings and wound careFacilitate the Chronic Disease Management Plans and Health AssessmentsExperience in using Medical DirectorTreatment room managementGP support & assisting in minor surgical proceduresManagement of the patient recall and reminder systemMonitoring & maintaining clinical stock levelsGeneral medical administrative duties (assist front counter)Other important requirements are: Registered with current unrestricted registration with AHPRAThe ability to work unsupervised/supervisedThe ability to liaise with GP's and Allied Health ProfessionalsThe ability to multi-task and problem-solveCommon tasks practice nurses are responsible for: Helping with patient assessments, including updating the patient file, taking measurements, and vital signsSending recalls and reminders for prevention activities or bringing patients back into the clinic for review or to discuss test results with the doctorsHelping with stock control and ordering suppliesAssisting with Immunisations which can be part of the national immunisation program or even travel vaccines in some clinicsProviding wound care servicesAssisting GPs with small proceduresHelping to coordinate patient referrals with other providersProviding patient education on a range of different topicsSupporting patients with chronic disease management usually by helping create management plans and monitoring progress towards their health goalsHelping the practice with the different accreditation activitiesBeing involved in clinical discussions and contributing ideas towards improving the quality of practice servicesHow do your skills match this job?
