About the Supply Department The Supply department is committed to promoting the highest levels of service for our professionals and patients. In realising this goal, the department will lead and excel in teaching and the use of person-centred evidence-based practice. The department provides services on all three campuses of Austin Health, from the Emergency Department through to bed-based services and ongoing ambulatory care.
About the role As the Sterile Store Coordinator, you will be responsible for the day to day supervision of the Central Store and Austin loading Dock, including OH&S compliance, supervision of staff, oversight of the receiving process, pick/packing of orders, transport and delivery of stock and non-stock orders and maintenance of all the vehicles and building. It also involves identifying cost reduction opportunities and system enhancements.
A regular day will see you:
Liaise with stores staff and professionalsFacilitate a coordinated approach to total service management by working with other team members where requiredParticipate in continuing education and training activities including new project/businessCollaborate with multiple teams across the divisionAbout you You will be someone who has excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to excellence in customer service, team leadership and inventory control. You'll bring energy and drive to your work, and have a keen interest in developing your skillset.
You'll further have:
5+ years medical consumable stores experienceExperience in a large service environmentExperience in mentoring, motivating and supervising a small teamExcellent communication (written and verbal) skills and interpersonal skillsAbility to communicate and develop working relationships on all levelsCommitment to provide a quality customer serviceDriver's licenceWorking at Austin Health means enjoying a strong sense of purpose, engaging in meaningful work every day.
