Our branch is at the heart of engineering and design for the City, responsible for the design of essential services like roads, stormwater, and structural projects, as well as creating pedestrian and cyclist pathways that support the City's active travel network.
With projects ranging from iconic road and bridge infrastructure to major stormwater upgrades, we're committed to delivering solutions that directly enhance the Gold Coast.
About the Role
As the Principal Civil Engineer and Team Leader, you'll have the opportunity to lead and inspire a skilled team, driving some of the City's most impactful infrastructure projects.
You'll apply your extensive experience in civil engineering to plan, design, and deliver projects that make a tangible difference to the community, from concept through construction.
Key responsibilities include:
Lead major city and capital works projects, from concept through to construction.
Develop design and construction methods with a focus on safety and risk management.
Build strong relationships and negotiate effective outcomes with stakeholders.
Manage design changes and present project updates.
About You
You are a seasoned civil engineer with 10+ years of experience in infrastructure design, eager to take on a leadership role where your work directly benefits the community.
You thrive on guiding teams, tackling complex engineering challenges, and working collaboratively with a broad network of stakeholders.
Your qualifications and skills:
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering and RPEQ registration.
10+ years in civil engineering design, with proven expertise in road design and infrastructure delivery.
Strong collaboration and stakeholder management abilities.
Strategic thinking and the ability to articulate a clear vision through planning and execution.
Unrestricted C Class Driver Licence.
