About the Role
As a Senior PV Design Engineer, you will play a pivotal role in the engineering lifecycle of large-scale solar projects, from early conceptual design to construction and commissioning. Working in a hybrid capacity, you will engage in both detailed design and design management, collaborating with internal teams and external contractors to ensure the successful delivery of renewable energy assets. This position offers the opportunity to shape cutting-edge solar projects while contributing to Australia's clean energy transition.
This role has flexibility to be based anywhere on the east coast. Key Responsibilities Develop conceptual and detailed design packages for large-scale solar PV projects.Collaborate with the development team to refine designs during the early project stages.Manage design deliverables from external contractors and consultants.Create and review layouts, single-line diagrams, and other critical design documents using AutoCAD.Conduct energy yield analysis using tools like PVSyst and PV*CASE (experience with these is advantageous).Oversee the transition of design packages to construction, ensuring accuracy and compliance.Provide technical support during the commissioning phase to ensure seamless project delivery.Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.Proven experience in designing utility-scale solar PV systems.Proficiency in AutoCAD; experience with PVSyst and PV*CASE is highly desirable.Strong understanding of electrical engineering principles as they apply to solar projects.Ability to manage multiple design packages and coordinate with external consultants.A proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills.Benefits Competitive Salary: Highly attractive remuneration package that reflects your expertise and contributions, with additional opportunities for career progression and development.Career Growth: Be part of a growing team with opportunities to influence major renewable projects.Work-Life Balance: Join a company that values flexibility and fosters a supportive work environment.Cutting-Edge Projects: Work on innovative and impactful renewable energy developments.Financial Stability: Join a company with a proven track record of funding and delivering large-scale projects.
