We are searching for a Commercial Finance Manager to join our Group Finance Team in Sydney on a 12-month contract.
The role reports into our Group Financial Planning and Analysis Director.
You will play a lead role in partnering with the Transformation Director to deliver a program of high value workstreams, supporting strong commercial outcomes and ensuring reporting governance across wide-ranging projects.
You will collaborate with various Project Managers and business partners, providing commercial advice and input into decisions that drive both short-term and long-term value for the business.
The role is hybrid, which means you'll have the flexibility to work from the office and from home.
A day in the life Support the development of strategic investment business cases and analysis of commercial returns Partner with Project Managers to set up budget and reporting structures in SAP, analyse results and provide ad hoc commercial support Attend project Steering Committees to provide commercial decision support Complete month-end processes, including detailed transaction reviews, with support from the Group FP&A team, ensuring accuracy of project actuals Deliver month-end reporting and manage ongoing program performance Maintain a strong financial governance framework, ensuring project cost management standards, processes and controls are implemented Drive simplification of systems and processes ensuring efficiency within our reporting processes through automation and continuous improvement Engage and manage third-party consultants to ensure the agreed scope is delivered in accordance with current agreements Conduct post implementation reviews to ensure project benefits are being delivered in line with business cases What you'll bring Excellent written and verbal communication skills Demonstrated ability in building relationships, business partnering and influencing peers and stakeholders at all levels Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and develop actionable insights A proactive and results-oriented mindset, with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities 5+ years of commercial finance experience in a large corporate, project accounting experience would be an advantage Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA or equivalent) At Lion, we offer 'growth on tap' and you'll get hooked on reaching higher with each new challenge.
