Your new employer : The Town has a dynamic future and we are looking for an enthusiastic and energetic Environmental Health Technical Officer to join our skilled team in a casual capacity.
Your new role : This position is to assist the Environmental Health Team in implementing, monitoring and reporting on Environmental Health projects and programs requiring the provision of specialist knowledge.
The successful candidate will be required to drive to various locations across the Town to undertake aquatic facilities inspection and collect water samples for analytical testing, interpret results and take appropriate remedial action.
You will be required to offer general support to the Environmental Health team.
What you'll need to succeed : Required : Experience in pool operations and water sampling testingHold a current WA "C" class driver's licenceKnowledge of the Environmental Health legislations, Health Local Laws, rules and regulations pertaining to environmental healthAbility to apply relevant legislation and corporate procedures and policiesDesirable : Highly developed organisational and time management skillsExcellent communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, with all levels of staff, general public, commercial and professional stakeholdersHighly developed interpersonal skills particularly in negotiation, public relations and problem solvingExperience in the application of Local Government Laws and policy as they relate to Environmental HealthThe benefits of working for us : Hourly rate of $35.45 - $40.68 (dependent on experience) plus 25% casual loading and superannuation.
