Refrigeration Design Engineer

Since 1970, Heuch Cooling has been a leader in innovative cooling solutions dedicated to delivering high performance cooling systems across industries including mining, defence, manufacturing, and food processing.
The Role: As a Refrigeration Design Engineer, you will be working on a wide variety of cooling systems in commercial, industrial, and mining facilities. You will be working in a well-supported team with a team of Engineers and Senior Service Technicians.
Duties and Responsibilities: HVAC/R system design including heat load calculations, heat and mass balance calculations, selection, and sizing of equipment.Prepare the refrigeration engineering documents and drawings including P&ID, BOMs, specifications, and operation manual.Work closely with purchasing to source BOM specifications at best cost.Support manufacturing department with product development and testing.Conduct investigations to determine the root cause, liaise with the engineering team, manufacturing department, and service support techs to generate solutions for complex problems.Inspect installations and observe operations to ensure compliance with design and equipment specifications and safety standards.Skills Required: Mechanical engineering qualification.Sound knowledge of HVAC/R systems.Understanding of control systems.Proficient in creating drawings using CAD software.About you: You are reliable and trustworthy.You are a great communicator with a customer-centric mindset.You are self-driven and motivated in your role.You provide outstanding customer service.Have Full Australian work rights.You are based in Victoria, Australia.What we offer you: Immediate Start.Generous package which includes rostered days off and on-call allowance.Role based in Dandenong South.Some interstate travel may be required from time to time.Please note: You will be required to pass a national police check and pre-employment medical assessment.
