What will you do? The purpose of the Head of Platforms position within Localsearch is to ensure the smooth operation, optimisation, and innovation of the company's core platforms and related development processes.
Responsible for overseeing the Platforms Development team, the Head of Platforms plays a pivotal role in maintaining the reliability and efficiency of the company's core platforms while driving continuous improvement and innovation.
Ensure smooth, secure operation of IT platforms and manage Post Incident Reviews Oversee technical support for employees and sales teams, resolving issues to maintain productivity Lead the team to optimize development processes, streamline deployments, and automate testing Align platform solutions with strategic business goals Collaborate with senior management on tech strategies for growth and innovation Maintain quality assurance processes to ensure high-quality, bug-free software Ensure systems comply with security, regulatory, and privacy standards Monitor system performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations Build and lead a high-performing team, fostering skill growth and development Manage offshore relationships and recommend offshore/hybrid or augmentation models to support Localsearch's IT capacity growth. Strengthen vendor relationships, evaluate emerging products, handle due diligence, negotiate contracts, manage SLA breaches, and approve invoices as delegated by the CTO. Who are you & what will you bring? Extensive experience in software development, CRM, subscription engines, payment gateways, and finance systems Proven leadership in managing cross-functional teams to achieve business goals Expertise in IT infrastructure, DevOps, digital product development, and strategic planning Strong communication skills, able to explain technical concepts to non-technical teams Proficient in Agile methodologies and tools like Jira and Confluence Skilled in quality assurance, regulatory compliance, and cybersecurity best practices Strong problem-solving abilities to optimize processes and drive improvement Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; certifications in Salesforce CRM, Zuora, or similar systems preferred Why it's great to work with us Perks - Paid parental leave, free parking, discounted gym memberships, and a café with barista-made coffee.
