Position Overview:We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Nurse Practitioner to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess advanced clinical skills, a strong commitment to patient care, and the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
This role provides advanced nursing assessments, diagnosis, care and intervention to patients within the scope of the Nurse Practitioner and requires adherence to the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) standards and guidelines, ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery and patient safety.
As a clinical expert, the Nurse Practitioner will provide clinical leadership.
Key Responsibilities: Provides advanced clinical assessment/reasoning skills and autonomous care to patients in accordance with Nurse Practitioner legislation and within individual scope of practice.Interpret results, and initiate appropriate treatment or referrals as needed.Monitor patient progress and adjust care plans as necessary.Work effectively with a multidisciplinary team to enhance patient outcomes and streamline care processes.Participate in case reviews and team meetings to discuss patient care strategies.Liaise with other healthcare providers, specialists, and community resources to ensure comprehensive care delivery.Engage in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of clinical protocols and policies.Participate in the evaluation and enhancement of practice standards in line with AHPRA guidelines.Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with legal and organisational requirements.Maintain competence to practice in accordance with national competency standards for the Nurse Practitioner as directed by the Nurses and Midwives Board of Australia (NMBA).Qualifications Current unrestricted AHPRA registration.Completion of a Master of Nursing (Nurse Practitioner) qualification.Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting as a Registered Nurse.Minimum of 3 years of clinical experience in a relevant healthcare setting as a Nurse Practitioner.Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills.Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.Key Competencies Knowledge of AHPRA standards and regulations.Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous improvement.Experience with the accreditation process and quality improvement requirements.An understanding or experience of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners Standards for general practices.If you have the skills and experience we are looking for we will be in contact shortly.
